As we considered growing our family through adoption a second time, we were once again faced with the financial reality of adoption. The cost of adopting has grown since we first adopted and our family circumstances have also changed. We are now a family of three on a single income. Though we work diligently to hold savings, the cost of adopting once again outweighs our means.
While we have worked hard to be creative within our constraints and save money at every opportunity, we have also applied to grants to request outside support for our adoption. Some Grants have not come through, others are pending, and others still require us to be matched before we can even apply. With that..
We are so honored to share that we have been offered a Matching Gift of up to $2,500!
This is a really intentional amount. Our next step in the adoption process is being matched with our kiddo. When that happens, we will owe our next big payment of $5,000. This matching gift, along with your help, would help us cover that expense while we wait for decisions from the grants who want to see that we are already matched before we apply.
The total cost of adopting from India ranges from $40,000 – $50,000 and we have already covered half of those expenses. We hope that your help, joined with this Matching Gift, will give us a boost as we prepare to cover the remaining expenses.
Your gift will be matched dollar for dollar and we even have a platform where your gift is tax-deductible. The matching window is open now and closes on February 28th! If you are able to join us on the financial side of this journey, feel free to visit our donation page below:
